WATCH KAHIN TO HOGA ALL EPISODES SOFTWARE
Hundred-dollar software without any sort of demo or trial would fly for corporations with that kind of money to drop on a whim, buy for the average home consumer, which the software is aimed at, it's a bit much.

They would still need to code an authentication system in the full version of the software regardless, so I don't see why one would argue that they would need to code an authentication system in the demo. You cannot stop a pirated version from appearing, it will happen, whether there is a trial or not, so the best course of action is to make people want to acquire it legally. Attempting to nullify all piracy full-stop is fruitless, the best you can do is make it too inconvenient to pirate (WITHOUT adding inconvenience to legitimate users), too pointless or not "worth it" to pirate, and appeal to those who acquire it legitimately. The argument that people would hack a trial/demo version is a flawed one, because anyone who would acquire it illegally would hack the authentication system of the full version rather than hack out the trial and put back in any missing features of the demo versions. That's why there is no trial- mostly to keep the users who cannot effectively use the tools and trash up the support channels with non related questions to the software from ever buying it. I recommend you buy it for the right reasons, you have the skillset to actually use the tools and features, and understand what makes it so powerful. So no, I don't recommend users go out and buy S3D in the first month of owning a printer. That's when the user appreciates the value in a slicer and begins to realize the price is cheap compared to what they got. These tools and features are most effective to an experienced user. The bottom line is that S3D is a powerful slicing tool with options not present in other slicers. You realize that in one support ticket, the human response required costs most of the license price? How many tickets will a complete novice to 3D printing generate on stupid questions not in any way related to the software that now these guys answer via the support system? The fact every print you produce goes through this software justifies the cost. Heck, a couple of rolls of high end filament cost more than a license. Microsoft charges more money for a fully licensed OS than these guys charge for a slicing software.

Quite frankly, they are not making money on the software. The other part here is folks complaining about the price. Instead, they offer a 30 Day money back guarantee. They've weighed the pros and cons and the trial stacks up in the cons for reasons listed above.

They don't care is they lose a few percentage of sales because people are upset they don't offer a trial. Both of those are often hacked.Įither way requires complex systems of activation and authorization- again more code, more time, more things to go wrong, and more exposure to outright stealing the software.

The problem with trials are, they have to either figure out how to limit the trial in functionality, or limit it in length of time use.

Wait a second because this complaint of no trial has been covered before.
